Dragon Booster Club Golf Tournament

The 38th Annual JCS Dragon Booster Club Golf Tournament, will be held Monday, October 27th at The Woodlands Country Club - Palmer Course! 

Each year, the Cooper Community gathers for a day of fun and golf, benefiting the Dragon Booster Club! This year, the day will include breakfast, a driving range, putting and chipping contests, 18 holes of golf, happy hour, and tournament awards. In addition, this year a new non-golfer activity has been added: a mahjong tournament! 

Opportunities to support the event with sponsorships and individual golfers and teams are available online or by calling the Advancement Office. This is typically a sold-out event, so don’t wait—register early!

Signatures Author Series

The 21st Annual Signatures Author Series will be held on Friday, December 5 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. 

The John Cooper School Signatures Author Series luncheon is a highly anticipated annual event benefiting The Fine Arts Council of the school.  This community event includes Visiting Authors book sales and signings, a fabulous luncheon, a book signing with the keynote author, a Signatures-themed drawing, and a private VIP reception for key sponsors. Previous speakers include best-selling authors Barbara Bush, Dave Berry, Mitch Albom, Anthony Bourdain, John Grogan, Nicholas Sparks, Candace Bushnell, Kathryn Stockett with Tate Taylor, Jodi Picoult, Tyler Florence, Gillian Flynn, Cheryl Strayed, Paula Hawkins, Kevin Kwan, Maria Semple, Jesmyn Ward, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Elin Hilderbrand, Alka Joshi, and most recently, Lisa Jewell.

The 2025 Signatures Author Series keynote speaker will be Fiona Davis! Fiona Davis is a New York Times bestselling author of eight historical fiction novels, known for setting her stories in iconic New York City buildings. She began her career as an actress before transitioning to writing after earning a master's degree from Columbia Journalism School. Her novels often feature dual timelines and explore the lives of women across different eras. Her latest novel, The Stolen Queen, was released on January 7, 2025.

Online Gala 

The John Cooper School 2024 Gala - ICONIC - Celebrating the Cooper Experience
Mark your calendars for the John Cooper School Online Gala February 19-26, 2025, ALL ONLINE! Gala Chairs Emily Liska and Brooke Schmitt are hard at work to make it a dynamic auction for all of the Cooper Community and beyond! 

A Tuition Raffle Drawing is held in conjunction with the Gala (exclusively for Cooper Community) and is good for $20,000 towards one (1) 2025-26 Tuition. Only 500 tickets will be sold, and the winner will be drawn on April 2 at 5:30 PM during the Parents Forum Meeting. Please call the Advancement Office at 281-367-0900 x2441 to learn more! 

The John Cooper School hosts an annual Gala each year. The Gala includes an online auction and a live event at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center every other year. 2025 will be an Online Gala (auction only), and 2026 will also include a live event in February.
