Program Description
This is an exciting opportunity for The John Cooper Community to have home-field advantage while learning from the best! Does your student love to play and compete? Is your athlete excited about a future in anything from recreational to high-level sports? Do you believe in the power of team sports in building character and leadership? This is an opportunity to hear from Heisman winner Robert Griffin III, known widely as RG3, and Florida State Record Holder in the Heptathlon, Grete Griffin, amongst others. As Cooper parents, they wish to share their knowledge on everything from what it truly takes to succeed at the highest level to providing an enriching exposure opportunity for our youngest athletes.
Skill Level: All skill levels and experience welcome. Thoughtful consideration has been given to ensuring that all abilities and experience levels are accommodated and supported. For all participants, more important than any physical attribute is a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and appreciation for hard work!
Please note: No experience is required for younger students and beginner athletes. This is an exciting opportunity to build enthusiasm for various interests through skill-building that applies across all sports.
To maximize their learning, all athletes will be carefully assessed to ensure they are at the appropriate level, as determined by coaches.
What to Wear: All participants should wear closed-toe athletic shoes and appropriate gear for comfort and performance. They should also apply sunscreen prior to check-in.
What to Bring: We'll have snacks, water, and lunch for all participants.
Caregivers: Caregivers are welcome to drop off or can spectate from the stands. Plan for a hot day by bringing appropriate hydration. We ask that all parents arrive in time for the community wrap-up from 3:15 – 3:30 pm.
