John Cooper Day 2025

Honoring and celebrating our founder Mr. John Cooper
The John Cooper School proudly celebrated John Cooper Day on April 17, honoring the vision and legacy of founder Mr. John Cooper through the many traditions that continue to define the Cooper experience.

KINDER-SENIOR PROCESSION
The day featured one of the School’s most beloved annual traditions: the special pairing of the Class of 2025 Seniors with the Kindergarten Class of 2037. Seniors and Kindergarteners gathered for formal portraits and participated in a heartfelt ceremony at The Glenn Performing Arts Center, highlighted by a processional and individual recognitions. The School also celebrated the Pioneers of the Class of 2025, honoring the students who have been part of the Cooper community since their earliest years.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Throughout the day, students across the Lower School engaged in service projects that reflect Cooper’s core values of leadership, compassion, and community impact. From assembling birthday kits for local food banks to creating breakfast bags for Meals on Wheels, every student had the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

JOHN COOPER GIVING DAY
The Cooper community also came together to support John Cooper Giving Day, a remarkable success that showcased the lasting impact of Cooper's mission. Thanks to 154 generous donors—including 108 alumni and alumni parents, 69 current parents, and dedicated faculty, staff, and grandparents—the School raised an incredible $229,503 in support of students and programs. The Alumni Association also reached a new milestone in alumni participation, with 28 out of 30 alumni classes joining in and helping to meet a $5,000 matching challenge.

Together, John Cooper Day and Giving Day highlighted the vibrant spirit, generosity, and enduring pride of the Cooper community, as it continues to learn, grow, and thrive in honor of Mr. Cooper’s founding vision.
