Congressional Art Contest 2025

Students' Photographs Featured in Prestigious Districtwide Exhibition
The John Cooper School is pleased to announce that Upper School students Peyton Neumann and Parker Neumann were selected to participate in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, hosted by U.S. Congressman Dan Crenshaw. Their photographic work was exhibited at the Ardest Gallery in The Woodlands on April 15 as part of this prestigious annual event.

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide visual arts contest designed to recognize and encourage artistic talent in each congressional district. Student submissions are evaluated by a panel of judges, with winning pieces selected for display in the U.S. Capitol and in congressional district offices.

Among the highlights of this year’s competition was Peyton Neumann’s photograph, “Eclipse,” which received First Place in the Photography Division. Peyton’s work was personally recognized by Congressman Crenshaw as his top choice in the photography category for 2025.

Peyton and Parker’s photographs will be displayed in Congressman Crenshaw’s offices throughout Texas’s Second Congressional District. Peyton’s piece may also be considered for exhibition in the Congressman’s Washington, D.C. office alongside other national winners.

This recognition is a testament to the creativity, technical skill, and artistic vision of our students, and we commend them for their outstanding accomplishments.

About the Congressional Art Competition:
Established in 1982, the Congressional Art Competition offers high school students an opportunity to showcase their artwork at the national level. Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives host contests in their districts, with selected works exhibited for one year in the Capitol Building or in local offices.

Congratulations to Peyton and Parker Neumann for their well-deserved recognition and for representing The John Cooper School with distinction.
