Lower School Artists Design Anti-Bullying Art for Contest

Fourth Grader's Work Selected For Reprinting As A Bookmark

Third and fourth grade students worked with Lower School Counselor Linda Donald and Lower School art teacher Amy Dietrich in October to create artwork for a contest that focused on anti-bullying. They submitted their designs to the Conflict Resolution Day Bookmark Art Contest that was sponsored by the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County.

Fourth grade student Abby Zubay was awarded an honorable mention and her design was one of four that was reprinted as a bookmark. There were 2,007 entries to the competition 34 designs that were awarded. The laminated bookmarks will be available at Montgomery County Memorial Libraries and distributed at schools and other public buildings.
