Cooper Cum Laude Society Chapter Inducts 22 Seniors

Recognizes Academic Excellence

Head of Upper School Stephen Popp welcomed students, parents, faculty and administrators to a dinner and induction ceremony for The John Cooper School Chapter of The Cum Laude Society that was held on campus on May 17.

Shannon Wiley, English department chair and board member of Cooper’s Cum Laude Society, presented certificates and inducted the following seniors into the prestigious honor society: Ramsha Asim, Meredith Brus, Tristan Craig, Sophia DeMarco, Kevin Dural, Sameen Faruqi, Cailin Frankland, Ashlyn Kersey, Francisco Masuelli, David McDonald, Ellen McRobbie, Kylie Melodick, Laura Meyer, Arianna Nimocks, Charles Scorpiniti, Zane Shah, Sydney Shannon, Taylor Sloop, Chase Warren, Hannah Weinstein and Lucia Zhang. Additionally, honorary status was granted to senior Maria Navarro who has not been at the school long enough to meet the official criteria, but was recognized.

Stephen Popp was also inducted as an administrative member of the Society. Cooper Cum Laude Chapter members also include Head of School Mike Maher, Director of College Counseling Laura Schroeder (secretary) and faculty members Dr. Tina Davies, Lilia Gallivan, Kim Larance and Peter Perretti.
