Girls' cross country is first and the boys' team is third at the Lake Houston Invitational. Varsity volleyball lost a hard-fought DIG PINK game to a very spirited crowd with breast cancer research being the real winner. Dragon football traveled to Austin to battle it out with St. Andrew's Episcopal.

Comments from Coach Matt Bohan: Ryan Mullen and Jonathan Goodridge led the race in 1st and 2nd from start to finish. Ryan got a great start, and Jonathan followed, setting a tough pace that only a couple of runners could hold finishing nearly 30 seconds ahead of the 3rd place runner.

Comments from Coach Matt Bohan: The girls’ team placed 6 runners in the top 16 runners. The team was led by 4th place finisher Claire Varnai with a time of 21:08. Freshmen runners Ava Minarovic (21:13) and Emily Black finished in 6th and 7th place. Senior Claire Livesay finished in 12th place followed by Maya Robles in 15th and Gabby Mussalli in 16th.

DIG PINK! fundraising event to support breast cancer research. The spirited (and very pink) crowd was treated to five close sets and a very close finish with Concordia Lutheran coming out on top.

Comments from Coach Nicole Hedden (subbing for Coach Jim “Smoki” Richardson): The whole team stepped up and played strong. Even with the loss, there was a victory for breast cancer research–thanks to an amazing effort from the parents, student body, faculty and staff, and especially the athletes representing Dig Pink. I was excited to be a part of it!
