Dragon Girls Soccer is Undefeated, Boys Basketball Win Tourney Consolation

Mario Awasum was named All-Tournament

Coach Matthew Wilson: The Dragons returned home 3-1 in the Dallas Mavs Classic. We won the Consolation Championship, clawing our way to victory against a scrappy Dallas Spruce High School (UIL 5A). Amongst several standout performers, Mario Awasum was named to the All-Tournament team. The team showed tremendous character and resiliency throughout the tournament. Go Dragons!

VARSITY GIRLS SOCCER  
11/15 at Cypress Christian • 6-0 W
Coach Friederike Engel: This week we won 6-0 at Cypress Christian. An undefeated backline and offensive contributions from several different players, including a corner kick scored directly into the goal by Elly Principi, helped us secure our third victory in a row. Sienna Williams scored in each of the three games and continues to be our leading goal scorer.

VARSITY SWIM & DIVE
11/12 at Tomball ISD Turkey Invitational (swim only)
Girls 6th place • Boys 5th place

Coach Sara Bany: Cooper swimmers competed in Tomball at the TISD Turkey Invitational. The girls finished 6th and the boys finished 5th. 

Leading the Dragon swimmers this week were Junior Kylie Jeter who finished second in the 100 Butterfly and third in the 100 Freestyle and Senior Malia Davis who finished fifth in the 100 Freestyle. The girls 200 Medley Relay of Jeter, junior Laney Shea, Davis and freshman Maddie Wang finished sixth overall and the 200 Freestyle Relay of Jeter, Shea, sophomore Sara Espitia, and Davis finished fourth overall. 

On the boys side, junior Alexander Harris finished 5th in both the 200 IM and the 100 Backstroke while freshman Zach Sheirr finished 4th in the 500 Freestyle. The 400 Freestyle relay of Harris, senior Danny Leoro, freshman Dylan Tao, and Sheirr finished sixth overall.
