MAMMA MIA!

DECEMBER 6 & 7 at 7 PM
DECEMBER 7 & 8 at 2 PM
Glenn Performing Arts Center Main Stage

Set in the Greek Isles to the hit songs of ABBA, one of the largest John Cooper School casts to date will present the musical Mamma Mia! on December 6, 7 and 8 in the Glenn Performing Arts Center.

ABBA's hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman's search for her birth father. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. The story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, creating an unforgettable show.

Director Ashley Cooper says audience members will definitely leave feeling happy. “It’s really a party,” she said. Approximately 70 cast and tech crew members will put on nine dynamic big numbers in what Cooper describes as a “cheesy, wonderful and fun” show that will have the audience dancing in their seats for the big finale number.

Many will recognize the songs in this fast-moving production that features colorful dance numbers choreographed by Elizabeth DeMonico. Rae Moses is directing the musical portion, Marcus Bridgewater is directing the technical crew.

NOTE: Mamma Mia does contain mature themes that may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets are now on sale at www.coopertickets.org. Reserve early, as this show is expected to sell out.
