Lower School Spanish Students Brighten Hallways

Creative Displays Enhance April's Fine Arts Festival

Adding to the celebration of the arts during April’s Fine Arts Festival, Lower School students have been putting their artistic talents to work while studying Spanish. First graders created colorful tulips and completed a sentence in Spanish about what they like most about spring with the prompt: “A m
í me gusta …” Second graders made sunflowers and completed the same sentence in Spanish, then created a beautiful rainbow for all to enjoy.
Fifth graders, guided by their teachers Srta Quezada and Sra Gould created a mobile that demonstrates Spanish-speaking countries, plus the USA (Los países de habla hispana además Estados Unidos de América). Each sphere represents a country and shows its name, flag and emblem and is made of the colors of the flag.
Thanks for adding creative, colorful and informative displays for all to enjoy.
