Annual Golf Tournament

The 2023 JCS Annual Golf Tournament, benefiting the Dragon Booster Club, will be held on Monday, October 16th! Chairs Becky Ellsworth and DeAnn Guidry are already hard at work on this year’s event and are in search of enthusiastic volunteers and committee members.

Each year, the Cooper Community gathers at The Woodlands Country Club, Palmer Course, for a day of fun and golf benefiting the Dragon Booster Club! This year, the day will include lunch, driving range, putting and chipping contests, 18 holes of golf, dinner, and awards. Opportunities to support the event with sponsorships and individual golfers and teams are now available online or by calling the Advancement Office. This is typically a sold-out event, so don’t wait, register early!

Signatures Author Series

The 19th Annual Signatures Author Series, featuring Alka Josh, will take place on December 1, 2023! Chairs Melissa Dunlop and Ashley Oliphant will be looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with event day preparations in the Fall.

The John Cooper School Signatures Author Series luncheon is a highly anticipated annual event benefiting The Fine Arts Council of the school.  This community event includes Visiting Authors book sales and signings, a fabulous luncheon, a book signing with the keynote author, a Signatures-themed drawing, and private VIP reception for key sponsors. Previous speakers include best-selling authors Barbara Bush, Dave Berry, Mitch Albom, Anthony Bourdain, John Grogan, Nicholas Sparks, Candace Bushnell, Kathryn Stockett with Tate Taylor, Jodi Picoult, Tyler Florence, Gillian Flynn, Cheryl Strayed, Paula Hawkins, Kevin Kwan, Maria Semple, Jesmyn Ward, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and most recently, Elin Hilderbrand.


The John Cooper School 2024 Gala - ICONIC - Celebrating the Cooper Experience
The year's Live Gala will take place on March 2, 2024. The Online Auction leading up to the Gala will include the ever-popular “Cooper Contributions” (unique experiences for Cooper families donated by Cooper Faculty/Staff members) and much more! The Gala will also feature a Tuition Raffle Drawing. Chairs Emily Liska and Brooke Schmitt are looking for enthusiastic volunteers and committee members to join the Gala Committee.

Each year, The John Cooper School hosts an annual Gala. Every other year, the Gala includes not only an online auction but also a live event at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. This year’s live Gala event will be held on Saturday, March 2nd and will feature a cocktail reception with a Big Board Auction, Dinner, Live Auction, dinner, and dancing!  Community support for this event is vital to its success. Opportunities to support the Gala will be available in the Fall and will include in-kind auction donations, auction and event underwriting, table sponsorships, and individual tickets.
