Volleyball Teams Sponsoring DIG PINK Games

Raising Funds for Breast Cancer Research Through T-shirt Sales, Online

For the eighth consecutive year, Cooper volleyball teams are joining the fight against breast cancer through the Side-Out Foundation. To date, the Cooper community has raised over $100,000 for breast cancer research through the annual Dig Pink® games.

Everyone will be “in the PINK” for this school-wide effort that features a week of pink-themed activities, culminating with the volleyball Dig Pink® games against SPC rival Houston Christian on October 25. The JV team will play at 4:30 p.m. and the Varsity squad will play at 5:30 p.m.

T-shirt sales support this fundraiser and the 2018 tie-dyed apparel can be purchased in the Spirit Store to be ready for the festivities (cash or check only, please). Direct donations can be online: click here.

“The support the volleyball program has shown for Dig Pink® over the years is amazing!” said Athletic Director John Hoye. “The effort and dedication put forth speaks directly to the character of all involved and highlights an incredible student-driven activity.”

There will be pre-game events in the lobby of the Dunlap Gym and the team will don pink jerseys as they pair up once again with the Side-Out Foundation/Dig Pink® to host this outreach initiative.
