From Coach Brent Landrum: I am very proud of this team after nine games. The win over St. Pius was very impressive. The bats are coming around. The team had 34 hits over five game this week. The pitching has been outstanding. Along with the combined no-hitter Tuesday, the staff gave up only 17 hits over 30 innings pitched this week. If we continue to hit, play solid defense, and pitch like we have been, this will be a very exciting team to coach. This week the Dragons travel for the first time this year with road games at St. Thomas Catholic and Cypress Christian.

Stat of the week: Senior Bobby Finnie was 6 for 18 at the plate with 6 RBI, 1 double, 2 triples, and 1 HR for the week. Four of his six hits were for extra bases. He also threw 3 and 2/3 innings of relief in a combined no-hitter of St. Pius. He gave up no hits, struck out five, and walked one in 3 and 2/3 innings of work.

Next up for the Dragons:

March 4 at Cypress Christian 12 p.m.
March 7 vs. Stafford High School, 6:30 p.m.
