1/28 Houston Area Private and Parochial Invitational (HAPPI) at Spring Branch Natatorium

Cooper Finishes First Overall At HAPPI Invitational – Boys Finish Second, Girls, First

From Coach Steve Breeding: Both teams swam good races, not best times. Had the boys’s team swam their best times, they would have won the boys’ side.
The did an excellent job winning combined. The team is tired from training but should be rested for SPC Championships and we are looking forward to a great meet in two weeks.
Congratulations to those swimmers who swam personal best times: Ella Winter, Paul Gallup, Magnus Harrseth and J.R. Gonzalez

From Coach Rod Gold:
The flu left us with a depleted roster. Despite having a very limited roster, I am proud of our effort. Our varsity guys showed a lot of heart and the JV players we brought up showed a lot of desire. Hopefully, we can get all of our players healthy by Tuesday night when we travel to Kinkaid for our final SPC game.

From Coach Bryan Sherman: Very proud of the team this week. The win on Friday clinched a spot in the SPC tournament and the group is really starting to play as a team. We have a tough conference game at Kinkaid on Tuesday, and that will be a big test for this team.

SPC record: 2-2-1

Varsity Girls’ Soccer

1/27 vs. Houston Christian* • 1-0 WIN

From Coach Amber Clevenger: This was a tough match for our team during a busy week, but we were able to pull through thanks to a late goal by Mary Bannon off of a set piece. This was also our senior night so it was great to be able to honor our seniors, most of who have been an integral part of this program for four years with a win at home! For me, it is bittersweet–these senior girls are very special and I am proud of all they have accomplished and I know that they will do amazing things in the future.
