Cooper Chapter of Cum Laude Society Inducts Seniors, Faculty

Gill, Sloop Give Impactful and Reflective Speeches

Head of Upper School Stephen Popp welcomed students, parents, faculty and administrators to a dinner and induction ceremony for The John Cooper School Chapter of The Cum Laude Society that was held on campus on April 26.

Senior Gurtej Gill spoke about his journey “From Curiosity to Wisdom,” and fellow senior Grayson Sloop gave a touching tribute to parents.

Director of College Counseling and Secretary of the JCS Cum Laude Society, Laura Schroeder, joined fellow Society member Stephen Popp to present certificates and induct the following seniors into the prestigious honor society: Obielumani Amudo, Julianna Banks, Mary Bannon, Nicole Beck, Shiru Chen (honorary), Krishna Sarvani Desabhotla, Changxin Dong, Kyle Dunn, Sean Dural, Allison Eisner, Gurtej Gill, Andrea Gomez Lloret (honorary), Magnus Haarseth, Carina Masuelli, Elizabeth Morris, Calista Reese, Shilpa Rumalla, Gabriel Sanchez Ainsa, Grayson Sloop and Kathryn Tang.

Faculty members Rebecca Brady and Alexis Wiggins were inducted into the Cooper Cum Laude Chapter that also includes Head of School Michael Maher and faculty members Lilia Gallivan, Jenny Glenn, Kim Larance and Peter Perretti. Maher concluded the ceremony with closing remarks.
