Season: 20-13 overall • SPC South Zone: 4-2
Note: John Cooper is 20-13 overall and 4-2 in SPC South Zone play. Cooper will be the 3 seed at worst and has a chance of being the 2 seed based on the result of the St. John's-Kinkaid game on Friday the 27th.
Coach Brent Landrum: I am proud of this team. We have been struggling to hit the ball, but this week was a good week at the plate. I expect that to continue. We have two non-conference games this week that will help us get ready for the SPC tournament in Dallas the first weekend in May. Senior night is Friday the 27th and I am looking forward to honoring our three seniors.

The Dragons came back with a win despite an early four-run inning by Houston Christian. The Dragons totaled 19 hits, thanks to multiple hits by Grayson Sloop, Kaitlyn Harris, Marion Donald, Eryn Sanchez, Jenna Braun, Alex Sims and Sarah Goossens. Eryn Sanchez pitched three innings, allowing three hits and three runs, while striking out four.

4/20 at Kinkaid* • 5-9 LOSS
The Dragons lost the lead in a 9-5 defeat to SPC rival, Kinkaid. Pitcher Eryn Sanchez went six innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and striking out eight. Grayson Sloop batted in three runs in on a home run, one of two Dragon homers in the game-Sanchez smacked a home run in the second inning. The Dragons collected eight hits-Kaitlyn Harris and Ally Flinn each contributed two hits to lead the Dragons.

Season: 13-8 overall • SPC: 2-2

Coach Nicole Hedden: I am so proud of the Dragons! They played a fantastic game. We had a bad call in the third inning, which shifted the momentum of the game. We talked about when you can't control what's happening, challenge yourself to control the way you respond to what's happening-that's where your power is! The girls kept fighting, which is all we ask as coaches; we just came up short!

We had some achieve a qualifying time, others bettered their position for SPC and two school records. Several Personal Records and Season Best efforts were set at this meet. We are taking the largest and deepest team to SPC. Looking forward to a good week of training and then heading off to St. Mark's in Dallas for SPC Championships May 4-5.
