Cooper Sends Four Musical Groups to TPSMEA All-State

Vocal, Instrumental Students Perform In Concert in Dallas

It was a Cooper first, when band, jazz band, choir and orchestra students from The John Cooper School performed in Dallas at the Texas Private Schools Music Educators Association (TPSMEA) All-State Concert on January 27.

“The addition of members from the newly formed jazz band means this was the first time four vocal and instrumental groups from Cooper performed in the all-state concert that was held at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts,” said Cooper’s Director of Bands, Tony Yarbrough.

“Our students joined with others from around the state for clinics and rehearsals prior to performing in concert,” said Cooper Director of Choirs Rae Moses.
