#ALLTOGETHERNOW Campaign In 'High Octane' Drive

Hear From Fourth Grade Math Teacher Susan Child About The First 10 Weeks

ALL TOGETHER NOW!
Let's take a closer look inside the Cooper experience from the perspective of fourth grade math teacher Susan Child.

In the first ten weeks of the fourth grade math program children begin to see the joy in numbers. They begin asking for math items for their birthdays. Fourth graders ask why math time goes by so fast when the time slot is no different than other time slots. Children learn the power of the decimal. We learn how merely moving the decimal to the right demonstrates the portfolio of Bill Gates, but moving it to the left can change a fortune to mere pennies. We understand why Google is named Google. After a few weeks we move into the subtraction and addition of large numbers. We venture into double-digit and triple-digit multiplication and long division. Annual Fund dollars have helped purchase electronic tablets, bouncy balls and wobble chairs, which add up to more fun in the classroom! Thank you!

We are in week 5 of our 10-week Campaign so go online today and make your gift or pledge at www.johncooper.org/giving. The goal is to achieve $1 million and school-wide participation, #ALLTOGETHERNOW !!!
