Cooper’s Department of Athletics is excited to announce that the 2017 Homecoming Week festivities will kick off on Monday, September 11. This year’s theme is Unleash Your Inner Dragon!

There are activities planned for dragons of all ages to show their Dragon Pride all week! We also look forward to welcoming our alumni (including our newest Class of 2017) and alumni parents back to campus for a tailgate party prior to the varsity football game Friday night. The week will conclude with a Homecoming dance for Upper School students on Saturday evening.

We invite all members of the Cooper community to Unleash Your Inner Dragon all week long. Check the school calendar for specific times and locations.

The roar will be loudest on Friday, September 15, with a school-wide pep rally followed by a varsity volleyball match against Conroe High School in the Dunlap Gym at 3:30 pm. Be sure to stay for the nightcap when the varsity football team takes on KIPP Academy on Pugh Field with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

We encourage all students to proudly display their school spirit by participating in selected theme days (see listing below).

We will tap into artistic dragons on campus with a Lower School Door Decorating Contest and a Middle School Poster Contest to visibly demonstrate our Dragon Pride across campus. The winners of the contests will be announced during the pep rally in front of the entire student body.

The Dragon Booster Club will again sponsor Homecoming pre-game festivities on Friday, September 15, which have become popular with students and parents alike. Ice cream sandwiches, free hamburgers for JCS students, face painting, bounce houses, and a money machine (to name a few) promise fun for all, with additional surprises throughout the week to build school spirit.
