In-store at Barnes & Noble, Woodlands - March 4-9 (online through March 14)

There are lots of things to do during the week-long Middle/Upper School Book Fair to support the Edone and Bourque libraries. Activities are planned for students and families of all ages. Enjoy shopping in-store at Barnes & Noble at The Woodlands Mall March 4 through March 9 or online through March 14 (www.barnesandnoble.com).

You will have the opportunity to purchase books for your reading pleasure, or you may pick up a gift or two for teachers, an upcoming graduate or just someone special. Teacher Wish Lists will be available for the Middle and Upper Schools.

Important to Note: Whether you shop in-store or online, be sure to provide the Cooper code - ID # 12082822 – or say you are with Cooper at checkout so the school will receive credit for the sale.

Mark your calendars for these upcoming fun Book Fair-related activities:

Middle/Upper School Super Hero Dress Down Days - Students may dress up as their favorite "Super Hero" to get ready for the Book Fair and show that "Reading is Our Super Power."

Thursday, March 2 – Upper School Super Hero Dress Down Day
Friday, March 3 – Middle School Super Hero Dress Down Day

Be sure to head to Barnes & Noble-The Woodlands for these activities:

• Sunday, March 5 - JCS Family Day • 1-3 p.m. - Have a cup of coffee and enjoy the artistic talents of our visual and performing arts students. The work of our talented visual arts students will be on display and there will be performances by our String Sensations orchestral group, vocal groups and soloists, drama students performing monologues and creative writing students reading selections from the Inkblots art and literary magazine. If chess is of interest, join in on the chess tournament. Just remember to give the Cooper code or say you are from Cooper for all purchases - even at the Starbucks!

Book Talks – Administrators will lead discussions of Mindset-The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck. Join us for one of these interesting discussions. Although not required, if you wish to read the book ahead of time, copies may be purchased in the Spirit Store. The Starbucks in the store opens at 9 a.m., so come early, grab a coffee or breakfast and visit with your fellow JCS parents. Both talks begin at 10 a.m.
