Varsity Girls' Soccer Claims Shutout Victory; Teams Prepare for SPIRIT WEEK

Results from the week of January 17

Varsity Girls’ Soccer

1/17 at Magnolia West High School 4-0 WIN

From Coach Amber Clevenger: This game against Magnolia West is what we needed to get over last week’s loss, and focus on what we needed to do to prepare for this weekend’s SPC games in Austin. Isabel Sands started off the scoring with an assist from Gina Valderrama. In the second half, Andrea Ordman came out strong, scoring two great goals. Gina followed it up with a brilliant header goal from a Mary Bannon corner kick. It was great to see so many players step up and play well together, I hope that this win gives us the needed momentum for the rest of the season.

From Coach Amber Clevenger: This weekend was an eventful weekend for girls’ soccer! Friday night the girls played against St. Andrew’s and we came out with a distinct 7-0 victory! It was great to see everyone be able to contribute to an SPC game. As a coach it is always a goal of mine to get all of my players into games and this was a game where I was able to play everyone and each player was able to contribute.
