Dragon Volleyball Begins Season With New Coach

Results from the week of August 8

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

8/9 vs. FBCHA (Fort Bend Christian Homeschool Athletics) • 0-3 L
Coach Courtney Eckenrode: The nerves and first game jitters gave the Dragons a bit of a hard time at the start of this match, but the team battled and many stepped up in big ways to deliver some big points. FBCHA is a skilled and athletic group who pushed us in a great way for the start of our season.

8/10 vs. Woodlands Christian  • 1-3 L
Coach Courtney Eckenrode: After a battle in the first two sets tying the match at 1-1, we came out a bit flat in the third set and couldn’t quite pull away. Led by a steady performance from Lauren Wolford and some clutch kills from Grace Minarovic, the Dragons are ready to learn and get back to practice to prepare for next week.
