1/28 at St. Stephen’s* • 5-0 W
Goals by Will Young, Danny Williams, Beto Valenzuela, Tanure Ewherido, and an own goal by the other team.

Coach Bryan Sherman: I am proud of the effort the team put in this week and they were rewarded with two solid wins. We played some of our best soccer against St. Stephen’s scoring four goals in a 15-minute frenzy in the first half; an indication of what we can accomplish when we get going. We have two big conference games this week at Houston Christian on Tuesday, then home on Friday versus St. Andrew’s.

VARSITY GIRLS SOCCER
1/27 at Awty International* 3-0 W

1/28 vs St. Stephen’s* 1-0 L

Coach Amber Clevenger: Thursday’s make-up game vs. Awty was a great success, we finally got our first SPC win 3-0 with two great goals by Tamsin Prudencio and a goal by Chloe Smith. It was great to see the team finally get the result they deserved and have worked so hard for!

Friday’s game vs. St. Stephen’s was a true fight for us as a team. We were coming off of a tough game against Awty the night before and it was fully our intention to build off of our success, but we weren’t ably so capitalize on our opportunities. St. Stephen’s scored a goal off what was intended to be a cross, but unfortunately went over Peyton Lien’s head and into the goal. It was a tough loss because I genuinely feel as though we were the better team and we just couldn’t get the result.

The plus side is seeing the team beginning to come together. We are playing better as a team and doing things we weren’t able to do at the beginning of the season, so the progress we’ve made has been very promising for me and I’m proud of my team!

We face a tough opponent Tuesday with Houston Christian and then we have Senior night Friday vs. St. Andrews and it’s our hope that we can solidify our entry into the SPC tournament this week!
