Dragon Teams Continue Spring Play

VARSITY GIRLS SOFTBALL

4/6 at Episcopal High School* • 17-2 L

4/9 vs Bay Area Christian • 13-9 L

Coach Nicole Hedden: Grace Minarovic drove in four runners. Minarovic drove in runs on a home run in the sixth and a home run in the seventh. Ally Flinn tripled.

Dragons scored five runs in the seventh inning. Amera Finnie and Minarovic sent runners across the plate with RBIs. There were three home runs–Minarovic had a long ball in the sixth and seventh innings and Finnie homered in the seventh inning.

Cooper saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Finnie, Jenna Braun and Minarovic all managed multiple hits for the Dragons. Braun and Finnie collected three.

Coach Mike Williams: Vaughn McKeever had four RBIs and Freshman Neil Malik was 3-4.

The Dragons scored ten unanswered runs on their way to a shutout win.

Coach Scott Holland: What a great meet. Strong performances all over the track and in the field events. We had a great time honoring our seniors. We have only two meets left, and we are excited to see where our training takes us as a team and as individuals. This is a great group, and the best is still to come.

VARSITY GOLF

4/6 at Episcopal Invitational, Quail Valley Golf Course

Senior Grant Carter came 4^th Medalist overall shooting a 74. Freshman Daniel Zou shot 78 to come in 8^th overall. Junior Tillie Claggett was 4^th place Medalist with a 77.

Coach Rod Gold: It seems like the players will peak at just the right time. It will be fun and exciting to see them compete at the SPC South Zone Championship.
