February is Black History Month, an annual observance for remembering and celebrating important people and events in the history of the African diaspora in the United States.
For the fourth year, an exhibit commemorating key historical movements and celebrating artistic, civil, cultural and social contributions of African Americans is on display in The Rock Math + Science Center through March 5. Cooper students from all grade levels will experience the exhibit over the course of the month during the school day.
To kick off the month, Coach Matthew Wilson was the featured Black History Month speaker at the Middle and Upper School weekly assemblies and shared his thoughts in a personal and informative talk.
