ALUM DISCUSSES IMPORTANCE OF FOSTERING COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Cooper Alumni Association Board President Chelsea Wade returned to campus on February 10 to speak to Middle and Upper School students at their weekly assemblies. Wade spoke about her experiences and about the importance of fostering connections within the community. She has been a member of The John Cooper Alumni Association Board for six years, and served as Board President for the past five years. Wade currently serves as the Strategic Gifts Officer at SEARCH Homeless Services.

Wade has cultivated a passion for organizations with a mission to improve the lives of citizens through special programs, community collaborations, education, innovation and leadership. Over the course of her career, she has worked in several nonprofits in the greater Houston area, and says she is thrilled to be back at an organization serving people who experience homelessness, helping Houston address a complex societal challenge.
