Alum Offers Insight on Importance of Community

Encourages Reaching Outside Your Comfort Zone
Middle and Upper School students and faculty were fortunate to hear from Cooper alumnae Muna Uzodike '15 earlier this month as part of Black History Month presentations on campus. She spoke of the importance of community and reaching out to learn from others who may be unfamiliar to you.

A video of Muna's presentation is posted on Cooper's YouTube page:

While at Cooper, Muna participated in student government, basketball, musical theater, choir, student diversity committee and community service. She has continued her commitment to service while attending Rice University. As aspiring physician, Muna has helped conduct diabetes research at The Children's Nutrition Research Center, worked with preventive health organizations and worked alongside nurses to operate mobile medical clinics in Haiti. She continues to volunteer at the Hilltop Church in The Woodlands, is a participant in Rice's Young Owls Leadership Program, Peer Academic Advising program and African Student Association.
