Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching gift programs, and we encourage you to check below to see if your employer has a program which will match your donation made to The John Cooper School. A corporate match may allow you to double – or even triple – the impact of your gift, and the donor is recognized for the entire amount!

A matching gift may be requested for a donation made to the Annual Fund, as well as donations made to capital campaigns. For the 2017-2018 Annual Fund Campaign, The John Cooper School received over $90,000 in matching gifts generated from your annual donations. The John Cooper School has also been the recipient of over $19,000 worth of matching gift contributions for capital campaign donations!

EXXONMOBIL VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM

The Volunteer Involvement Program is designed for Exxonmobil employees, retirees, and other eligible participants who volunteer in the community on an individual basis. A $500 grant can be awarded to a charitable, nonprofit organization after an eligible participant volunteers at least 20 hours of their time to the organization during a calendar year.

Each eligible participant (employee, retiree, surviving spouse or director) may apply for four individual grants per calendar year. These grants may be for the same or separate organizations, provided 20 hours of work is performed for each grant. Our organization may receive a maximum of $5,000 per division per calendar year of Individual Volunteer Grants, in addition to the $10,000 maximum for Team Grants.

In fiscal year 2017-2018, The John Cooper School received over $5,000 from families who submitted Volunteer Involvement grant applications on our behalf! Thank you parent volunteers!
