Our Youngest Students Get Into the Rhythm

PK-K-1 Information Night Set

Students in Jennifer Lienhard’s Lower School music classes are enthusiastic about learning rhythm and sounds on a set of Tubano drums. Lienhard attended an intensive workshop last summer specifically designed for PK-2 music teachers who want to bring developmentally appropriate world drumming into their curriculum. The drum set was a donation from the school’s Fine Arts Council.

An Admission Information Night and Tour for families interested in information about Pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade at The John Cooper School for the 2019-20 school year, is scheduled for October 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dunlap Multi-purpose Room of the Mitchell Lower School.

Parents are invited to meet with administrators and teachers to learn more about the curriculum and programs offered at the college preparatory day school that is currently celebrating its 30th year as a recognized leader in independent school education.
