2019 Dragon Volleyball Earns Top Ranking for DIG PINK
Helping To Find A Cure For Metastatic Breast Cancer
In the ninth year of involvement in Dig Pink®, the 2019 Dragon volleyball teams’ efforts earned them the distinction of being one of the top five fundraising teams in the nation.
“Although the overall ranking for our school is never the goal, it is such a testament to Cooper community to continuously be one of the top schools nationwide in regard to funds raised to find a cure for metastatic breast cancer,” Dig Pink faculty coordinator Coach Amber Clevenger said. “Our focus moving forward will be to find other ways to support the breast cancer community.”
The Dragons join fellow conference rivals, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin in the Top Five, as well as Randolph High School, Minnesota, West Springfield High School, West Springfield, Virginia, and Massapequa High School, Massapequa, New York. Each school raised over $10,000 to support of Side-Out’s mission of stage IV breast cancer research.
Dragon volleyball is credited with raising more than $134,000 over nine years of participation.
