BOYS’ VARSITY SOCCER

1/14 at St. John’s* • 2-0 LOSS

1/17 vs. Frassati • 9-0 WIN

Coach Bryan Sherman: A tough loss to St John’s this week was followed by a great response and effort from the entire team on Senior Night on Friday. We won 9-0 and all six seniors got on the score sheet, which is awesome for them. The crowd was great for the game and I am very proud of the entire team for how they played. Next week we get Episcopal in a rematch of last year’s championship game and I know the team will be up for the challenge.

Next up for Dragon Boys’ Soccer:

Jan. 24 at Episcopal High School*, 7 p.m.
Jan. 28 vs. Kinkaid*, 7 p.m.
Jan. 31 at Houston Christian*, 7 p.m.

GIRLS’ VARSITY SOCCER

1/14 vs. St. John’s* • 5-0 LOSS
Coach Amber Clevenger: Our 5-0 loss to St. John’s doesn’t depict the progress that we’ve made this year, but rather shows the talent that we play against in the South Zone. Regardless, I’m still proud of the effort the girls put forth and that they didn’t allow the loss to break them. It was nice to see the girls smiling and laughing with one another and that is the biggest win.

1/17 vs. Frassati • 3-0 WIN
Goals by Kat Staebel (2) and Mikaela Camarata (1)
Coach Amber Clevenger: Tonight’s 3-0 win vs Frassati was a good night for so many reasons but the main reason was being able to celebrate four special seniors that have put a lot of time and effort into this program. Senior night is always bittersweet for me as it marks the end of an era for our seniors, but I’m always left thinking about the memories that each senior is leaving with and it’s just a reminder of what this experience is all about.
