Health Services

The John Cooper School offers Health Services to our students in offices staffed by two full-time Registered Nurses. The primary role of the School Nurse is to care for the ill child, to evaluate and/or treat injuries, to administer medications, and to educate students and staff in health-related matters. In addition, we are responsible for assuring compliance with Texas State mandates regarding student health records and immunizations, as well as hearing, vision and scoliosis screenings.

The Lower School Nurse's Office is located near the Kiva, and serves students from Pre-K through 5th Grade. All questions and inquiries regarding these grades should be directed to extensions 310 or 333.

Our Middle/Upper School Nurse's Office is located in the Middle School building adjacent to the reception area. Any questions or inquiries regarding these grades should be directed to extension 446.

We believe that open communication between nurses and parent/guardians will lead to a successful and healthy school year. Please feel free to contact us should you have any concerns or questions.
